RULES & REGULATIONS
I acknowledge I have reviewed the ValleyFest Rules & Regulations for this event and agree to abide by them.
SPORTSMANSHIP POLICY
Good sportsmanship and cooperation are both anticipated and expected. The team captain or designated coach, if
applicable, is expected to aid in controlling teammates’ and team followers’ conduct and to represent his/her team as
spokesperson in case of appeals to the court monitor. Poor sportsmanship could result in penalties against the team in
either the Technical, Intentional, or Flagrant foul categories as set forth in the Rules & Regulations. Failure to show
sportsmanship, with acts such as fighting, taunting, intimidating or verbally attacking a tournament official, player or
spectator may lead to removal of that player, team and/or spectator from the tournament. Any ejection from the entire
tournament will result in a suspension from the next year’s ValleyFest, at a minimum. Decisions made by tournament
officials are final, and are not subject to review by video or other recordings, or other sources.
By signing this agreement, I agree to act with sportsmanship at all times and understand if I fail to do so, I may be
ejected from the tournament.
WAIVER
I assume all risks associated with playing in the ValleyFest 3 v 3 basketball tournament, including, but not limited to falls,
contact with other players, weather hazards, playing surface conditions, etc. I hereby for myself, my heirs, executors,
administrators or anyone else who might bring claims on my behalf covenant not to sue, and waive, release and discharge
any and all individuals, owners, board members or shareholders of either Hoop for the Valley, LLC, The City of Mount
Vernon, Commercial Cold Storage, Inc., or any other affiliation/office, or any charity benefiting from this event, volunteers,
committee members, and any and all sponsors, including their agents, employees, assignees, or anyone acting on their
behalf, from any and all damage of any kind or nature whatsoever arising out of or in the course of participating in this event.
The Waiver extends to all claims of every kind or nature whatsoever, foreseen or unforeseen, known or unknown. I hereby
grant full permission to any and all foregoing to use photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or record me in
my likeness from this event for any purposes by Hoop for the Valley, LLC
